Good Health for the New Year

Happy New Year!

When it comes to New Year's resolutions, many people wish for better health. Health is so fundamental to all that we do - no wonder it is a basic human right defined by the UN. However, personal health is not possible without considering global health in today's interconnected world. Addressing access to healthcare and its impact on global health is our topic for the January Buddies Without Borders Online Forum: Who Will Take Care of Us?

We are excited to announce that Global Public Service Academies (GPSA) will be conducting a workshop as our kick-off speaker: Founded in 2010, Global Public Service Academies (GPSA) was created with the understanding that young people can make a difference in the world. GPSA's mission is to empower young people to become active global leaders. They collaborate with local authorities to promote health equity in underserved communities. Currently, GPSA supports community health initiatives in Guatemala; Belize; Thailand; and West Virginia, USA; while providing hands-on experiential learning programs and cross-cultural engagement to young people who have an interest in leadership and global health.
