Through Buddies Without Borders Online Forum competitions, we identify those who have the vision for humanity's common good AND the commitment to bring this vision to reality. (next application deadline: Jan 20).
Throughout the year, these teen leaders took on local projects and conducted international dialogues through BWB Clubs. We identify those who are ready for a bigger stage and send them to participate in the LI internships and UN Challenges.
As we approach yet another year's selection process, we would like to spotlight a few wonderful accomplishments and learning results:

The business internship team students created a logo, a financial tracking system, and raised funds and market awareness for their client. "When you are in a group, having an outcome according to everyone's wishes and desires is not as easy as it seems, but I think that we always put forth our best as a team, covering for each other when necessary strengthened the team spirit among us, as well as teaching us to respect and support each other. I am so proud that we work together for our business partner who is miles away and that we can achieve this even without being face to face. It is a great honor and pleasure that we have been given great opportunities, having people's trust and our ideas have been valued, regardless of our age and other factors." ~ Gülbeyaz Ceylin Gündoğdu, BWB Club student from Vali Muammer Güler Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi, Türkiye (with her teammates)

The UN Sustainable Lifestyle Challenge Team enjoyed the gamified learning experience. "The challenges and learning I've completed in these challenges over the last six weeks have been extremely educational and eye-opening for me, as they have taught me about the state of our world and how important it is to take care of our planet. I have become so much more aware of my own environmental footprint and have learned many strategies to alleviate it (many of which are far simpler and easier to implement than I'd thought!) I would highly recommend this experience or any similar one to anyone wanting to learn about how to be a better citizen of the Earth through an interactive, gamified method." Krisha Karippail, BWB Club student from Green Bay High School, New Zealand
The next Forum competition will be about designing a Local Action Project to meet Global Goals. We encourage all teens to join us to have some fun! The deadline is coming up: January 20th.
