Green is the New Gold Online Forum participants from 20+ countries have introduced themselves by describing their most memorable "green" travel experiences, learned how the collaboration tools and systems work. They are excited to get started brainstorming business concepts for their assigned countries!
This Sunday, these 40+ student representatives will meet their coaches and their teammates for the first time. To help us kick off the Forum is Ms. Helen Peeks, the Advisory Director of Zanzibar Butterfly Centre and the Project Manager of Chumbe Island Coral Park Ecotourism of Zanzibar in Tanzania.
To help us connect our passion for Ecotourism with a potential higher education path is Dr. Bingjie "Becky" Liu-Lastres, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism, Event and Sport Management at IUPUI. IUPUI is ranked 2nd in the United States and #28 globally in Sustainability by Times Higher Education. It is a nine-time winner of the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity from Insight into Diversity and it is among the Top 50 US universities for Best Undergraduate Teaching as ranked by US News and World.
